Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has condemned the alleged gunpoint threat issued by a police personnel to a delivery worker at Naga United Village, saying such actions undermine public trust and threaten inter-tribal harmony. In a statement issued on Sunday, the WSH alleged that police personnel Blessto Zhimo of Ghukiye village threatened a delivery worker, identified as Khruvota of Dzulhami village, with a firearm on August 1 at Naga United Village in Chümoukedima district. It also expressed concern that the alleged incident could affect the long-standing relationship between the Sumi and Chakhesang communities. "Naga United Village stands as a symbol of unity. Unprovoked acts of aggression like this threaten to damage the long-standing relationship and brotherhood between the Chakhesang and Sumi tribes," the statement said.
