ScottishPower announced that M Group will deliver overhead line improvements from South Lanarkshire to East Lothian, forming part of the company's £24bn UK investment in energy infrastructure by 2028. It supports expansion and reinforcement of the electricity grid to meet rising demand, reduce constraints, and connect more homes and businesses. David Maddocks, managing director of overhead lines at M Group, said: "We’re delighted to play a central role in delivering this crucial upgrade to one of Scotland’s most important electricity corridors. The contract forms part of SP Energy Networks’ £5.4bn transmission framework programme.
