The protest took place against the Telangana government’s alleged negligence after the Bonam of Jogini Shyamala Devi was toppled on Sunday in front of the Ujjaini Mahakali temple. On Monday, Shyamala Devi came to the temple along with her disciples (joginis) and attempted to enter forcibly into the area leading to the Ujjaini Mahakali temple, where the Rangam event was scheduled.
