Cumbria Police confirmed the incident, involving an eight-year-old pedestrian, was reported at 11.28am on Monday, August 3, in the Orgill area of Egremont. Emergency services attended the scene with the child taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Police said the road was expected to reopen shortly.
