Herts Police said the behaviour at the Northway, Rickmansworth, property was “putting other residents at risk” as they announced a closure order had been secured at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Friday (July 31). Neighbours made multiple reports of antisocial behaviour linked to the flat, behind High Street, and Sergeant Gary Yam described how they were left “frustrated and distressed by what was happening”. “I hope this action reassures residents that we are listening to their concerns and taking them seriously. We will not hesitate to seek closure orders where antisocial behaviour is having a detrimental impact on people’s quality of life.” Sergeant Yam, from the community safety unit, said: “The occupant was given multiple opportunities to change their behaviour but, ultimately, we were left with no choice but to seek this order.”
