The major road will be closed southbound from the Hartspring Roundabout - by Toby Carvery - to The Dome roundabout between 8pm and 6am each night until Thursday morning (August 6). Work has been classed as 'highway repair and maintenance', specifically for surface dressing. Surface dressing work involves spraying bitumen binder on the road and then spreading stone chippings which are rolled into it to restore the surface. A potential alternative route, Bushey Mill Lane, will also be closed from 11pm to 6am, tonight (August 3) only, at the level crossing. This is for separate works classed as being 'for rail purposes'.
