Viscount and former labour peer caught speeding fights to keep driving licence

David Stephen Geoffrey Pollock, the 3rd Viscount Hanworth, was caught by a speed camera driving at 27.6mph on Junction Road near Wyndham Crescent in Islington at around 12.24pm on February 4, Westminster Magistrates’ Court was told.
READ MORE:Pollock attended in person wearing a blue suit, shirt and tie, and sat outside the dock throughout the hearing.
Pollock, of Gladsmuir Road in Islington, London, is due to return to Westminster Magistrates’ Court for a special reasons hearing on October 7.
The court will then consider whether Pollock had any special reasons as to why the court should not disqualify him from driving.
Until April, the viscount was a member of the House of Lords, sitting as a Labour hereditary peer.
