Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service responded to "concerns of welfare" at the Naze, in Old Hall Lane, yesterday. An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman in the Old Hall Lane area of Walton at around 3.50pm on Sunday. "Emergency services attended but, sadly, the woman died at the scene. The Samaritans are available for anyone struggling to cope and provides a safe place to talk 24 hours a day.
