The group of 14 newcomers and 13 returners were firing on all cylinders Friday, trouncing Mercyhurst 11-1 at Yost Ice Arena. It is the program’s largest season-opening win since beating Miami (Ohio) by the same score in 1990. “It was something we talked about, just playing the right way and playing to our identity,” Naurato said postgame.
