Leader, age 71, for 35 years associated with the office of Douglas county clerk, and a resident of Superior the past 41 years, died suddenly at his home today from a heart attack. He was county clerk in 1891 and 1892, and in the period following up until 1910 served as deputy county clerk. Again in January 1911 he was elected county clerk and maintained that position up until he time of death today.
