Hyderabad: The Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana, has seized 113 abortion kits that were allegedly stocked for sale without valid purchase bills during a raid at a wholesale medical shop in Nalgonda. During the inspection, officials detected the illegal stocking of 113 "Safe-T Kit" MTP (Medical Termination of Pregnancy) Kits, bearing Batch No. The abortion kits were labelled as manufactured by Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The administration cautioned that unsupervised or improper use of abortion kits can result in serious health complications, including excessive bleeding, incomplete abortion, infection, and may even pose a risk to the woman's life.
