Applications for the government Hajj Scheme 2027 are expected to open next week, with the Ministry of Religious Affairs set to formally announce the Hajj policy and the details of the official scheme shortly, according to sources. Under the arrangement, pilgrims will once again be able to choose between long- and short-duration Hajj packages. Sources said the long-duration package is expected to cost around Rs 1.2 million, while the short-duration package will cost approximately Rs 1.3 million. To ease the financial burden on pilgrims, Hajj expenses are likely to be collected in two installments rather than as a single payment. Overseas Pakistanis will also be eligible to apply under the government Hajj scheme and complete payment of their Hajj dues from abroad, sources added.
