Cllr Yusuf Davda emerged as the winner after a count at Bolton Town Hall to elect a new councillor for the Rumworth ward, which includes areas like Deane and Daubhill. Speaking after the result, the newly elected Cllr Davda said: "We're absolutely excited about the result today, the team have been brilliant. Cllr Yusuf Davda was declared the winner (Image: Phil Taylor)"The other parties are all over the place at the moment, so we thought better to stay as an independent. Cllr Davda will represent Rumworth alongside the Green Party’s Cllr Ismail Ibrahim and independent Cllr Ayyub Patel. The by-election leaves Labour as still the largest party at Bolton Town Hall with 19 councillors, short of the 31 they need for an overall majority.
