Across much of the Pacific, Facebook has become a principal channel for news, current affairs and official information. He says discussions with other Pacific media colleagues suggest the problem is not confined to Vanuatu. Facebook views of our posts fell by about 70pc, despite our having around 80,000 followers across social media, most of them on Facebook.
