Μake us preferred on GoogleForeign buyers and investors continue to show strong interest in the Greek property market, with Greece steadily climbing the list of preferred real estate investment destinations.
According to real estate professionals, the country’s growing appeal is the result of a combination of factors that have significantly strengthened the Greek brand and boosted investor confidence.
Figures from the Bank of Greece highlight the scale of this trend, showing that foreign direct investment in Greek real estate reached 12.4 billion euros between 2019 and 2025.
The inflows far exceeded those recorded during the entire 2002-2018 period, when foreign investment totaled just 3.38 billion euros.
The Municipality of Athens remains the leading destination for international property demand, followed by the suburbs of Thessaloniki, Athens’ southern suburbs and the Cyclades, which complete the top tier of preferred locations for foreign buyers.
