As I see it, collaboration is key and more specifically collaboration between those who design buildings and those who build them has never been more important. As the challenges faced by those we design and build for continue to evolve, the relationships between architects and construction managers must evolve too. We often hear the phrase ‘architects design and contractors build’. It cannot be achieved by architects alone, nor by contractors working independently. Great builders and great architects together simply create great buildings.
