The main Pettigo to Laghey road has reopened this morning following yesterday’s fatal crash which claimed the life of a man in his 20s and seriously injured a young woman. The deceased man was driving a vehicle which was involved in a collision with a 4x4 vehicle on the R232 at Fincashel, just outside Pettigo, at around 2:45pm. The driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle, a male in his 60s, was also brought to hospital for assessment only. “Road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam or mobile phone recordings) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí. “Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballyshannon Garda Station Garda Station on 071 985 8530, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
