Services between Newport and Cardiff Central have been reduced following a fire over the weekend on 1st August. The fire has impacted overhead powerlines and signalling systems, and will cause disruption until the end of Wednesday, 5th August. Repairs are underway, but in order to operate CrossCountry, Transport for Wales, and Great Western Railway services safely, they will be heavily reduced. Tickets will be accepted on alternate days, and ticket acceptance is in place. Passengers have been advised to check with specific operators to see what options are available.
