ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has extended its order preventing the collection of an additional 50% toll tax from vehicles without M-Tags or those carrying insufficient balances. A hearing was held on a petition challenging the notification imposing the additional toll charges. The lawyer confirmed that it had just been provided but said he had not yet had an opportunity to review it. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir said the court was already aware of the other proceedings but observed that the two matters were separate cases. The court subsequently extended its earlier order restraining the NHA from collecting the 50% additional toll charge from vehicles without M-Tags or with inadequate balances and adjourned the hearing.
