Elderwood Wheatfield , Niagara Falls, NY - Dorothy Dane Swick, 102 years of age, passed away on July 26, 2026 at Elderwood at Wheatfield, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Dorothy graduated from La Salle High School, Fredonia Teachers College, and Buffalo State College, with a career teaching vocal elementary music at Wilson, Niagara Falls, and Niagara Wheatfield schools. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Donald I. Swick and her parents Leslie A. Dane Sr. and Ruth (Bolton) Dane, her brothers Richard, Leslie Jr. "Buddy", and Roger Dane. As well as her sister, Cheryl R. Dane and sons Donald D. Swick and infant Matthew R. Swick. Dorothy is survived by her sons Daniel (JoAnn) Swick (Lewiston, NY), Stephen (Marjory) Swick (Warren, VT), Harold Swick (Bergholtz, NY), and her daughter Susan (Dave) Ziemba (Wanakena, NY).
