Philip Joseph Sanderson admitted he failed to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders register when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on July 29. Court records show the 58-year-old defendant failed to attend Kendal police station to notify officers of his address on July 28. Sanderson is required to do this once every seven days while he is of no fixed abode. He was sentenced at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on July 29. Magistrates jailed Sanderson for 24 weeks due to the offence being committed on licence very shortly after being released from prison.
