The full team call-out was launched at 4.02pm on July 28, with 19 volunteers deployed to the scene in overcast conditions.
Rescuers travelled by vehicle down the valley to Gatesgarth before continuing on foot to reach the casualty, who had fallen and struck their head.
The walker was reported to be suffering from dizziness alongside a cut to the head and a possible finger dislocation.
After assessing the casualty, team members administered pain relief before placing them on a stretcher for evacuation.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team later said they wished the casualty a speedy recovery.
