A Johns Hopkins University researcher who was previously detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at Baltimore Washington International Airport last week has since been released.
Ameaka works at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health’s Center for Health Security.
Dr. Inglesby also said that Ameaka’s work centers on how to enhance response to infectious disease outbreaks, including measles.
