Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh has recorded a 44 per cent increase in pedestrian fatalities in the past four years.
Overall Road Deaths Also Increase in Andhra PradeshThe state also recorded a rise in overall road accident fatalities during the same period.
With 8,346 road deaths, Andhra Pradesh ranked eighth in the country.
Pedestrian Deaths Across StatesThe data also revealed pedestrian fatalities reported by several major states during 2024.
Among southern states, Andhra Pradesh recorded the highest number of pedestrian deaths at 838, followed by Karnataka (679) and Telangana (634).
