“It has been stated in the plea that Jantar Mantar is not a proper site anymore for such protests due to the ingress-outgress issue. Supply of medical essentials, etc. I think this is important,” the CJI observed while ordering issuance of notice and directing that the matter be listed separately. The plea contends that continued protests at Jantar Mantar create difficulties relating to the movement of people and the supply of essential medical items, among other public concerns.
