Rochester Man Sentenced in Restaurant Assault Case

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man accused of assaulting an employee of a local restaurant earlier this year has been sentenced to two years of probation.
Felony Assault Charge DismissedOlmsted County court documents indicate that 40-year-old David Deangelo Colon entered into a plea agreement this week and admitted to misdemeanor assault and DWI charges.
The victim told officers that Colon entered the restaurant and struck him in the face without provocation.
The victim also showed officers threatening text messages that Colon had allegedly sent him prior to the attack.
The video then shows the victim attempting to help Colon get up, but Colon continued trying to punch the restaurant employee.
