Ambitious plans for a marina to be developed at the Dundee Waterfront have been scrapped. The development was linked to the Tay Cities Region Deal, a decade-long initiative that promised around £700 million of investment in the region. A Dundee City Council (DCC) report detailed that the marina development was among the projects being reviewed for the second half of the Tay Cities Deal. Executive director of city development for the council, Robin Presswood, admitted the costs associated with the marina were “considerable”. Speaking to The Courier, DCC leader Mark Flynn said: “There was a reshaping exercise carried out by the Tay Cities officers only a matter of weeks ago.
