Midway through practice on Saturday, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Nick Herbig was beaten in coverage on a completion. But at least he was out there for it, and at least he is getting reps off the ball as an inside linebacker. At one point Saturday, the Steelers even tried a traditional 4-3 look, with Patrick Queen between Herbig and Wilson. Having Herbig play — and rush — from an inside linebacker position is something I’ve called for many times. Wilson, who has played inside since he was drafted in 2024, seems to think Herbig has what it takes to play the position.
