The Conservative councillor then said he went out with officers to see how road inspections were carried out but was unhappy with the process. He explained: “In November last year a claim was made to DCC for tyre damage sustained due to a pothole on the A5104 in Llandegla. This was rejected on the basis that DCC (Denbighshire County Council) had ‘Inspected’ the road within the last three months. A Denbighshire County Council spokesman said: “The council takes maintenance of the highway network very seriously, and we understand that it is important to our residents and to people visiting our county. The complaints led to Denbighshire County Council responding that the authority “takes maintenance of the highway network very seriously”.
