The union said the ultimatum is a reminder to stakeholders and all concerned authorities to do the needful regarding the lingering demands. It added that the government’s failure to address the issues affecting the university would compel the union to down tools. According to the statement, the union will proceed on a total, comprehensive, and indefinite strike until all outstanding issues are completely resolved. “The agreement became effective on January 1, 2026, as well as other lingering welfare issues affecting members of our branch,” the statement added. “After extensive deliberations, it became evident that in spite of previous communications and engagements with the appropriate authorities, the issues that gave rise to our concerns remain unresolved.
