Haunting your local garage sales is the perfect way to spend hours finding hidden treasure this summer. However, while there are items that are always worth buying at garage sales, I have also learnt that there are certain categories that you should avoid. However tempting the price is with certain items, the savings aren't worth the substantial risk. Solid hand tools, wooden furniture, hardware and kitchenware are all definitely worth hunting at a garage sale, but there are a number of things you should be wary of or avoid altogether.
