Gargrave Road from its junction with the A59/A65 roundabout to the entrance of Skipton Auction Mart was closed on July 20 to allow work to take place on access to the under-construction new roadside services. Work was scheduled to take up until today (Monday) but finished ahead of time, with the road reopening on Saturday, the day before Sunday's Trans Pennine vintage vehicle run that ended in Skipton. Traffic was diverted though the town centre while the work was taking place with access maintained to Robertshaw's Farm Shop, Travelodge and other businesses on Gargrave Road. The roadside service station on Gargrave Road is due to open in the autumn.
