More like a book than a magazine, illustrators is an art quarterly devoted to the finest illustration art ever published. As well as building into an indispensable reference library, illustrators gives readers an insight into the creative process, from the initial idea to the image potentially seen by millions. Issue 51, available now direct from Book Palace, leads with an interview with Raphaël Giraud, one of the people responsible for Mœbius Production and son of the celebrated comic book illustrator, Jean ‘Mobius Giraud. For me, the range of artists featured in any issue of illustrators is very much part of its appeal, especially when it’s an illustrator whose work I recognise, but whose career I’m unfamiliar with.
