Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas has signed three executive orders aimed at banning political thuggery, regulating mining activities to protect host communities, and intensifying the fight against drug abuse across the state.
Kefas said the executive orders became necessary to safeguard lives and property while promoting peace, responsible governance, and sustainable development.
> “Any attempt by anybody to disrupt public peace or the executive order to undermine the state’s peace would not be tolerated.”
On mining activities, the governor said the executive order was designed to ensure responsible and well-regulated mining operations while protecting the welfare and interests of host communities.
Kefas expressed confidence that the executive orders would improve public safety, strengthen governance, and support sustainable development across Taraba State.
