In the description of the playlist, Byrne explained, ‘The whole band has folding bikes that we travel with – if I have an afternoon off I’ll often go for a ride to clear my head. And if I’m on my own and it’s a secure path or not a busy road… I’ll listen to this playlist.” The 40-track playlist, which Byrne has shared on Spotify, begins with ‘Square’ by Mitski from 2013, but does largely consist of newer music. This week, Byrne will have an opportunity to get out on his bike in Singapore before his show on August 7th, ahead of heading to Bangkok, Thailand, for a performance on August 10th.
