The standout for me has to be Andrzej Zulawski’s jaw-dropping Possession from 1981, which is not a film that many will have seen, but everyone should.
In 1990, before he gained Hollywood recognition, the late star shot a sequence that he felt was destined to be remembered as his most memorable.
“It remains one of my favourite films, not least because of the partnership between John and me.
The graveyard scene, I am told, is once seen, never forgotten.”
Neill added: “The fart from the corpse was my idea, by the way.
