Council To Consider Options For The Future Of Horowhenua Under Local Government Reform
[]
Community Scoop
Horowhenua District Council will this week consider a range of options as it determines how the district responds to the Government’s Head Start pathway for local government reform.
While the Government’s Head Start pathway has given councils a relatively short timeframe, we’ve been determined to use that time well.
Council will consider the report and the range of available options at its meeting on Wednesday 5 August, ahead of the 9 August Head Start Pathway deadline.
Should Council support progressing a Head Start proposal, further work would be required before any formal submission is made to Government.
The Head Start process provides for detailed design, engagement and Government assessment before any final decisions are made.
