Hamas won’t disarm for several well-established reasons. First and foremost, because Hamas’s bosses are in Tehran and the ayatollahs are trying to escalate the war between Iran and the U.S. They also won’t disarm because by so doing it would give up its control of the Gaza Strip. Iran won’t allow Hamas to disarm and while they don’t Israel won’t withdraw from Gaza. The Gaza war isn’t a stalemate because Israel continues to attack Hamas, gradually killing off the people responsible for the October 7, 2023 attack.
