Local author and poet Amelia Nicol of Hot Sulphur Springs has released a chapbook of experimental literature titled “Pronounce Experiment.” “Pronounce Experiment works to explore language as an art and science. Often published by small or independent presses, they are common format for emerging writers or experimental works. Through her writing, Nicol works to honor the vibrant past of Grand County while breaking down barriers and borders in our culture. “Pronounce Experiment works to respect cultural space and to create gaps for inclusive and real working conversation, especially about our languages, intelligence and our land.”
