The Brooklin Merchants’ march to the Ontario Series Lacrosse championship series took a big step Sunday in Owen Sound. The Merchants ended the Owen Sound North Stars’ run with a 9-4 victory inside the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. In that game, Owen Sound scored 13 goals to beat the Merchants. The North Stars finished the 2026 OSL campaign in third place with a record of 7-5-1-0 in the regular season and beat the Collingwood Cruise in the first round of the playoffs. The Merchants finished second and received a bye in the first round.
