The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities concluded the fourth edition of the Young Artisan Program, held throughout July 2026 at Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre.
The closing ceremony was attended by Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Heritage at the Authority, alongside a number of officials.
The program attracted strong participation from children and young people and received positive feedback from participants and their parents, who praised the workshops for helping them develop practical skills in a range of Bahrain’s best-known traditional handicrafts.
The program featured practical workshops across a wide range of traditional and contemporary crafts, including epoxy resin art, woodcraft decoration, pottery and ceramics, decoupage, cake decorating, crochet, fashion design, traditional jewellery design, macramé, and other creative arts.
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities also announced a new series of workshops for adults, scheduled to take place during August 2026.
