A 23-year-old serviceman was found drink-driving on the A96 after drinking at Kinloss Barracks while watching football. Inverness Sheriff Court heard that police traced him travelling eastbound near Drumine, Tornagrain, and pulled him over. Sheriff Macdonald banned him from driving for 12 months and fined him a total of £640. He said: “We had alcohol at the Kinloss Barracks and watched the football. “I had picked him [a friend he had been drinking with] up from Kinloss Barracks, gone to Inverness and then driven him home.
