UHI Moray in Elgin submits plans to replace roof on Speyside Wing
[]
Northern Scot News
UHI Moray has lodged plans to remove and replace the roof on the Speyside wing of its main Elgin campus.
The wing is connected to the Alexander Graham Bell building and sits next to Hay Street, near the junction with Moray Street.
In September 2023, staff were informed that RAAC concrete had been found in the Speyside wing.
Documents submitted to Moray Council by UHI Moray state that the roof works are “essential” to address the “structural risks” associated with the existing RAAC structure.
Part of the Speyside wing has been closed to staff and the public since the concrete was first discovered.
