A telecoms contractor’s payment application was invalid because it left its client without the information needed to check the claim within the contractual deadline, the High Court has ruled.
The High Court dispute concerned whether the application, submitted on 5 February 2026, complied with a clause in the companies’ master services agreement.
Loading…Netomnia’s payment system used a feature ID to identify the relevant polygon, the polygon ID to identify the corresponding purchase order, and the purchase order to authorise payment.
The contractor also disputed whether it could properly reference the relevant purchase order, challenging how the order had been supplied and whether it corresponded to the sums claimed.
Both parties had expected the ruling to inform their approach to the other applications submitted on the same day.
