Construction labour specialist Hercules is to launch an energy arm with a long-term view to managing work packages.
The Cirencester-headquartered firm told the London Stock Exchange this morning (3 August) that it was creating a Power & Energy Services division to sit alongside its existing Labour Supply Services and Construction Services units.
Marcus White, commercial director of the acquired outfit, has been named managing director of Hercules’ Power & Energy Services division.
Hercules chief executive Brusk Korkmaz said: “The launch of our dedicated Power & Energy Services division is an important milestone for Hercules and reinforces our evolution into a leading power and infrastructure services group.
The scale of investment being undertaken across generation, transmission and distribution represents a once-in-a-generation transformation of the UK’s electricity infrastructure and creates a substantial long-term opportunity for Hercules.
