This feature will let GCash users link their Visa debit or credit cards for more payment options. Visa and GCash recently announced that they are soon launching a new link-and-pay feature, allowing Visa cards to be a source for QR transactions via the app. How it works is that GCash users will be able to link their Visa debit or credit card to their account. Even though connecting the Visa card to GCash should be easy, security is still a focus. Each transaction using a Visa card is protected by Visa Payment Passkey, which is a biometric authentication solution to verify online purchases without the need for a password or a one-time SMS passcode or OTP.
