Nigeria’s Ambassador to the State of Israel, Her Excellency Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu, on Monday August 3, 2026, formally presented her Letters of Credence to the President of Israel, His Excellency Isaac Herzog, at the Presidential Residence in Jerusalem.
The ceremony marks the official commencement of Ambassador Ufochukwu’s diplomatic mission in Israel.
Speaking shortly after the presentation, Ambassador Ufochukwu conveyed the goodwill of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the people of Nigeria to the Government and people of Israel.
The Ambassador outlined key areas of priority during her tenure to include trade and investment, agriculture and food security, technology and innovation, defense and security cooperation, healthcare, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
Diplomatic observers note that Ambassador Ufochukwu’s deployment comes at a time when both countries are seeking to broaden economic partnerships and leverage opportunities in the tech and agricultural sectors.
