Director Gregg Araki has called Charli XCX a “sophisticated cinephile” ahead of the release of their new film I Want Your Sex. “And they’re very sophisticated cinephiles – Charli XCX is one of them! It really gives me hope that this younger generation seeks out films that are not your standard popcorn multiplex movies.” At the festival, Charli also came out as a special guest for Lorde as they performed their collaboration ‘Girl, So Confusing’. Alongside the release of ‘Music, Fashion, Film’, Charli has shared an accompanying film and a series of B-sides, which she “begrudgingly” released on iTunes.
