Franklin County has a new Planning & Zoning Director. On Friday, the County Board of Commissioners announced that Jared Hightower has been tapped for the job. Hightower most recently served as 1st Lieutenant of the Franklin County Marshal’s OfficeHe was also an Assistant Deputy Marshal for the Marshal’s Office. Before that, Hightower served as the Royston City Marshal. Calling it a well-deserved opportunity for Hightower, Commissioners said they appreciate his commitment to serving Franklin County citizens and look forward to the experience, professionalism, and leadership he will bring to his new role as Planning & Zoning Director.
