Londonderry Road in Harrogate will be closed from August 3 through 12 for the installation of a new water drain. Harrogate Mayor Troy Poore said the road will be closed to all traffic from just past the entrance to the Dollar General Store near the intersection of U.S. 25E to the entrance to Harrogate Crossing. White Avenue can be used as an alternate route to Harrogate Crossing and city hall. With the first day of school in Claiborne County set for Friday, August 7, parents and students are reminded to keep this closure in mind as they travel to H.Y. Livesay Middle School and Cumberland Gap High School.
